A new annotated game has been added.19 September 2025
Congratulations to Fahim Nasiri who won this year’s county championship, scoring 4/5 to finish a point clear of the field. 16 players took part in the club’s handicap blitz tournament. There was a 3- way tie for first place on 4 points out of 5 between Andy Morley, Sathsara Dissanayake and Martin Burrows.30 May 2025
At the AGM the Player of the Year was awarded to Arav Ajaykumar who won all his 11 games in the league. This is the second year in a row that the trophy has been won with a 100% score. The full statistics for the season can be found here. The Junior Player of the Year was won by Laurence Norton who had a very succesful season on board 1 for the 4th team and gained over 150 rating points. The Clubmanship Trophy was awarded to Madhav Eradi who took on the captaincy of the 5th team and won division 4 in his first season in the role. A 5 round handicap blitz tournament held after the AGM was won by Martin Burrows with 5/5.11 May 2025

November 2025
Wigston 1 maintained their 100% record with a win against Market
Harborough 1. Wigston 2 followed a win againt Thurnby with a
narrow loss to Syston 2.
Wigston 3 top division 3 after a win against Braunstone and a draw
with Heathcote 1. Wigston 5 had two draws in the month and a big
win against Anstey 8.
October 2025
Wigston 3 followed a win against Wigston 4 with further wins against
Market Harborough 3 and Ashby 2 to top the table. Wigston 4 won
their other 2 games in the month.
Wigston 1 opened the season with wins over Anstey 1 and Anstey 2.
Wigston 2 and Wigston 5 each have 2 points from their opening 2
games.
September 2025
We retained the Wylie Cup after a narrow win against Anstey in the
last round.
Our team missed out on the Harrod Cup after losing their final match
to Syston.
August 2025
Our team remain top in the Harrod Cup after beating Kirby Muxloe.
Our Wylie Cup team are also top after a default win against
Loughborough.
July 2025
The Wylie Cup team beat Ashby and are top of the table with 2
matches to go. Our Harrod team are also top after beating Ashby 1. A
succesful month was completed by a win in the Chapman cup over
