Wigston 3 followed a win against Wigston 4 with further wins against Market Harborough 3 and Ashby 2 to top the table. Wigston 4 won their other 2 games in the month. Wigston 1 opened the season with wins over Anstey 1 and Anstey 2. Wigston 2 and Wigston 5 each have 2 points from their opening 2 games. September 2025 We retained the Wylie Cup after a narrow win against Anstey in the last round. Our team missed out on the Harrod Cup after losing their final match to Syston. August 2025 Our team remain top in the Harrod Cup after beating Kirby Muxloe. Our Wylie Cup team are also top after a default win against Loughborough. July 2025 The Wylie Cup team beat Ashby and are top of the table with 2 matches to go. Our Harrod team are also top after beating Ashby 1. A succesful month was completed by a win in the Chapman cup over Anstey, June 2025 The Summer Cups are underway. Our Harrod Cup team played Market Harborough twice, drawing with their 2nd team and beating their 3rd team. The Wylie Cup team started with a win against Thurnby. The Chapman Cup team lost to a strong Market Harborough side. May 2025 The Division 1 championship came down to the final match against Syston 1. After a hard fought match with no draws, Wigston 1 won 3-2 to retain the league title. It was also a succesful week for Wigston 5 who beat Braunstone 2 to win Division 4. April 2025 Congratulations to Wigston 4 who beat Heathcote 1 and Market Harborough 3 on the way to winning Division 3 by a huge margin. Wigston 5 retain a 1 point lead at the top of Division 4 after a draw with Braunstone 2 and a narrow win against Ashby 4. Wigston 2 lost their final match to Anstey 1, but will finish the season in an excellent 3rd place in Division 1. March 2025 Wigston 1 followed a rather fortuitous win over Loughborough with a draw against a strong Anstey team, and remain top ahead of the key match against Syston 1. Wigston 2 had an excellent win against Shepshed to follow a comfortable win versus Syston 2. Wigston 4 beat Kirby Muxloe 1 to maintain a big lead at the top of division 3. A win and a draw in the month saw Wigston 5 stay top of division 4, with Wigston 6 also having a win and a draw. February 2025 Wigston 2 followed a win over Market Harborough with a draw against Syston 1. Wigston 1 took advantage of further dropped points by Syston 1 to open up a 3 point lead at the top, with 5-0 wins against Syston 2 and Shepshed. Wigston 4 followed a big win over Wigston 3 with a draw against Ashby 3, and are 6 points clear at the top. Two wins and a draw in the month moved Wigston 5 to joint top of division 4. January 2025 Wigston 4 had an excellent month beating Anstey 3 and Leicester University 1 (twice). They have a 5 point lead at the top of the division, ahead of several teams including Wigston 3. Wigston 1 had big wins against Market Harborough 1 and Wigston 2 to stay joint top of division 1 with Syston 1. Wigston 5 had a narrow win against Ashby 4 and are 3rd in division 4. Wigston 6 suffered two defeats against higher rated teams. December 2024 Wigston 1 are joint top of division 1 after a 2.5-2.5 draw against Syston 1. Wigston 2 are in 3rd place after a draw with Anstey 1. Wigston 3 beat Ashby 3 to go top of division 3, with Wigston 4 dropping to 2nd place after losing to Market Harborough 3. After a slow start, Wigston 5 had two wins in the month to move up to 4th in division 4. November 2024 Wigson 1 beat Loughborough and Anstey to maintain a 100% record. Next up is the big clash against fellow divison 1 leaders Syston 1. Wigston 2 won two out of three matches in the month and are lying second in the division. Wigston 4 are top of division 3 after a win against Kirby. October 2024 We have two teams in each of divisions 1,3 and 4 which meant that the season started with a number of inter- club matches. Wigston 1 comfortably beat Wigston 2 and followed up with wins against Syston 2 and Shepshed to jointly head the table with Syston 1 after 3 matches. Wigston 4 produced an upset win against Wigston 3 and then beat Ashby 3 to move into 2nd place in division 3. Wigston 6 overcame Wigston 5 in the other inter-club match up. September 2024 Wigston defeated Loughborough 5-3 to retain the Wylie cup. In the Harrod cup, Wigston 1 finished joint 3rd after a narrow loss to Market Harborough 2.
